Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger Installation
EV chargers must be installed by an electrician who is familiar with this. The charger requires 240 volts, which is not the typical outlet in a home or garage. An electrician must determine whether your existing electric panel can handle the new circuit. There are two common types of chargers:

Level 1 Charger
This uses a standard 120-volt outlet and doesn't require special installation, though it charges slowly.
Level 2 Charger
This requires a 240-volt outlet, which usually needs a professional installation by an electrician. It charges the vehicle much faster than Level 1 chargers.
The installation process generally involves

-
Choosing the right location for the charger.
-
Ensuring electrical capacity is available (sometimes needing an upgrade to your existing electrical system).
-
Mounting the charging unit securely.
-
Wiring the unit and ensuring compliance with local electrical codes.
